Midfielder moves on after just five appearances
Experienced midfielder Claus Jorgensen has left Port Vale after turning down the offer of a longer contract.
Jorgensen joined the League Two club on a non-contract basis last month after being released by Blackpool over the summer.
He had made five substitute appearances for Micky Adams' side and had suggested he would be willing to stay at Vale Park.
However, it appears Vale's offer failed to match Jorgensen's demands and the 33-year-old has opted to look for another club.
Vale boss Adams told the club's
official website: "We put an offer on the table, which unfortunately Claus has decided to turn down.
"We are obviously disappointed, but he is now considering other options and there is nothing we can do about that except wish him luck."
