Sturrock to have a closer look at shot-stopper
Goalkeeper Akihiro Hayashi is set to extend his stay at Championship side Plymouth Argyle until January at least.
The Japan Under 21 international has been training with The Pilgrims for the last two weeks after quitting Romanian outfit FC Astra in August.
Argyle manager Paul Sturrock is keen to have a closer look at the youngster and has agreed to take the 22-year-old on a non-professional contract until the end of the year.
Currently, Hayashi does not qualify for a work permit to play in England but the club remain hopeful there may be a change in work permit regulations.
Last season Plymouth attempted to sign Japan international Akihiro Ienaga but the midfielder was turned down for a work permit.
