Addicks skipper happy to stay put

Nicky Bailey insists speculation regarding his future had no affect on his commitment to Charlton this summer. Various reports during the recent transfer window suggested that the Addicks skipper was a target for clubs higher up the League ladder, with Middlesbrough believed to have been among those to had shown an interest. However, the talented midfielder remains part of Phil Parkinson's set-up at The Valley and insists he never contemplated moving. He told the South London Press: "There were never any bids that came in (over the summer). "I was always concentrating on being focused, doing well and being captain of Charlton. Nothing happened so I'm here and I'm happy to be here."
