Forward targets future move to England's top tier
Le Havre striker Kevin Anin claims he still hopes to become a Premier League performer despite snubbing the overtures of Tottenham in the summer.
The Ligue 2 forward had an opportunity to join Spurs on loan after catching the eye of boss Harry Redknapp during a two-day trial.
But the 23-year-old Frenchman opted against the White Hart Lane switch, stating he wants more time to ply his trade in his homeland.
"Tottenham proposed to hire me on loan," Anin revealed. "I was not attracted. I (have) never left home, so if I sign far away from Le Havre I will need time to adapt.
"England makes me dream, but I believe it is wiser to go to a Ligue 1 club before making a name for myself there."
Anin was close to securing a move to Sochaux only for the deal to fall through when the powerful marksman failed a medical with a troublesome Achilles injury, but he is hopeful of a move in the January transfer window.
"I know (the) Sochaux coach wanted me," he added. "It could not be done, too bad. I will go on working hard. There will be other opportunities."
