Midfielder to sign short-term deal

Skysports.com understands Hamilton are set to sign former Hibernain star Guillaume Beuzelin. Beuzelin, who is a free agent after leaving Coventry at the end of last season, is set to sign a short-term deal with the SPL strugglers. The Frenchman had been training at Celtic in a bid to maintain his fitness and he is thought to have impressed during his stint at Parkhead. A number of clubs were thought to be lining up a move for Beuzelin, but Hamilton have stepped in to offer the classy midfielder a deal at New Douglas Park. Beuzelin's agent, Willie McKay, confirmed the 30-year-old is looking forward to joining Hamilton and returning to the SPL.

"Hamilton have made an offer for Guillaume and he is happy to join them on a short-term deal," McKay told skysports.com. "Guillaume wants to be playing regularly and he will get that at Hamilton. "He wants to help Hamilton climb the table and the move allows him to put himself in the shop window. "He is happy to return to Scotland and ideally he would like to win a long-term deal to stay in Scotland. "Guillaume is grateful for Celtic giving him the chance to train with them, but like any player he wants to be playing competitive football."
