Matt Jarvis believes Wolves must start picking up the points their performances deserve in the Premier League.

Winger wants Wolves to turn good performances into points

Matt Jarvis believes Wolves must quickly get over the disappointment of Sunday's defeat to Sunderland and start picking up results in the Premier League. Wolves went down 5-2 at the Stadium of Light after battling back from two goals down to level. While winger Jarvis described the result as "very disappointing", he is focused on helping Mick McCarthy's side pick up points, starting against Portsmouth at Molineux on Saturday. He told the Birmingham Mail: "It was very disappointing, especially considering we'd come back from 2-0 down to 2-2. "We'd done extremely well and there was the feeling we could go on and win the game after that.

Horrible feeling

"It was a horrible feeling for everyone involved in the game to come off having lost 5-2. "That sort of scoreline makes it look like we've been hammered but we played extremely well and should have got something." Wolves have picked up seven points from their opening seven games to sit in 16th in the table. Jarvis added: "Our performances have been good and we've probably caught a few teams off guard. "But we don't want to keep coming off the pitch saying that we've done really well but we've lost.
Results
"We need to keep performing at the level we have been but also pick up results." Wolves beat Fulham in their last home tie and Jarvis is calling for more of the same against rock bottom Portsmouth on Saturday. "That's what we did in our last home game against Fulham and what we need to aim for against Portsmouth as well," he said. "That was an afternoon which really helped our confidence and gave us a boost which we can take into the next home game."
