Evans sent off for Bantams before Roche makes superb saves
Morecambe and Bradford both missed a host of chances as they had to settle for a 0-0 draw at Christie Park.
Bradford came closest to taking all three points despite being reduce to ten men 13 minutes from time when Gareth Evans was harshly sent off by Stuart Attwell for a foul on Morecambe keeper Barry Roche.
It was Roche who went on to frustrate the Bantams with two superb saves in the final moments.
Five minutes from time the Morecambe stopper produced a brilliant tip over to deny Luke O'Brien and went one better with a great block at full stretch from Scott Neilson, who was put through by Michael Flynn.
Both sides hit the woodwork in the first period with Phil Jevons curling a free-kick against the crossbar and Evans, who missed two excellent first-half chances, seeing a cross come back off the post.
