Bordeaux striker Marouane Chamakh insists once he breaks his UEFA Champions League goal drought the goals will flow.
The Morocco international, who was heavily linked with Arsenal and Sunderland in the summer, has not scored in 11 outings in Europe's premier club competition.
Speaking ahead of Bordeaux's Group A clash with Israeli outfit Maccabi Haifa, the 25-year-old believes it is time to start delivering the goods on the big stage.
"It is up to me to create goal-scoring opportunities. I need to be confident of putting chances away after I create them, hopefully it will work," he told
L'equipe TV.
He added: "In that competition you only get one chance once you put that away, you are free to score in a bunch."
The French champions head into the clash with one point on the board after their creditable 1-1 draw with Juventus in Turin on matchday one in the Champions League.
Meanwhile, Maccabi went down 3-0 to Bayern Munich in their opener and will be hoping to cause an upset on Wednesday if they are to make a mark in a difficult group.
