Inter Milan striker Mario Balotelli has apologised for his red card against Rubin Kazan in the UEFA Champions League. The teams battled out a 1-1 draw in Russia with goals from Dominguez and Dejan Stankovic ensuring both sides went home with a point. But the Nerazzurri will be disappointed their 19-year-old forward did not remain on the pitch to help them to a much needed win after he picked up a second yellow card, and he has apologised to the fans. A statement on the club's official website said: "Dear Nerazzurri supporters, you must excuse me for the red card suffered in the Champions League. "Unfortunately I made two mistakes and I paid hard. I hope to have a positive return and will continue to do my best with complete professionalism." Inter's next game in Europe is against Dynamo Kiev at the San Siro on 20th October as they look to make their mark on Group F.
