St Johnstone boss Derek McInnes has shrugged off claims that the club are the SPL whipping boys this season.
The Saints have endured a torrid start to their return to Scotland's top tier after conceding 16 goals while occupying bottom spot six games into the campaign.
McInnes' side have yet to taste victory in the league this term, but the Saints boss insists there is no panic at McDiarmid Park.
"If we keep showing the same spirit and level of performance I'm sure things will turn. We just have to keep going, there are a lot of positives," he said.
"Teams down the bottom tend to have a lack of fight and lack of goals but we don't have those problems."
McInnes, who has cooled his interest in German striker Fitim Kacik, could be handed a timely boost with skipper Kevin Rutkiewicz set to return to face Hamilton on Saturday after recovering from a pre-season injury.
