Everton defender moves to North East strugglers
Steve Staunton has continued to strengthen his Darlington squad with the loan signing of Moses Barnett from Everton.
Having captured experienced striker Noel Whelan on a non-contract basis earlier this week, Staunton has now brought in Barnett on a month-long deal.
Barnett, who can play at centre-back or left-back, will go straight into the squad for Saturday's game against Dagenham & Redbridge.
Staunton said: "We're delighted that Moses was available.
"We know a lot about him, we knew we needed a left-back and he was one of three players we were looking at.
"He's a very athletic player, tall and quick, so he should be a good acquisition for us.
"We're looking to bring players in from Premier League clubs so hopefully this is a positive sign."
