The Dynamo Kiev front-man was a livewire in attack throughout the evening. As well as taking advantage of Ferdinand's error to win a penalty, the 24-year-old almost doubled the lead with an outrageous long-range effort.

The central midfielder was pulling all the strings for Ukraine early on. Although his performance dropped off in the second half and he was eventually substituted, Nazarenko left his mark on the game by grabbing the only goal with just under 30 minutes gone.
Andriy Shevchenko
Striker
The veteran forward was not at his superb best but put in a solid performance nonetheless. After missing an early penalty, Shevchenko was lively in attack and caused problems in the England back-line with his clever play.
