Northern Ireland's Under 21s slumped to their third straight defeat after going down 2-1 to Iceland. After a goalless first half Johann Gudmundsson broke the deadlock for the home side on 57 minutes. Josef Josefsson doubled Iceland's lead on 71 minutes to put them in firm control of the game. Port Vale's James Lawrie pulled a goal back for Northern Ireland ten minutes from time, but they could not find an equaliser.
