Own goal seals 2-1 victory over Brentford

Danny Foster's own goal condemned Brentford to a 2-1 defeat at Leyton Orient. Carl Cort nodded home Sam Wood's free-kick in the fourth minute to put the Bees ahead. Orient rarely threatened until striker Ryan Jarvis was upended by Mark Phillips and Brentford goalkeeper Nikki Bull, despite diving the wrong way, saved Scott McGleish's penalty with his shins. McGleish made amends almost immediately after the interval when he hooked in a knockdown by Tamika Mkandawire from Jason Demetriou's cross Orient keeper Glenn Morris made a fine full-stretch save to hold a 25-yard drive from midfielder Cleveland Taylor before the hosts edged ahead through Foster's own goal. Brentford pressed forward in the closing stages, but Morris held firm to secure victory for Orient.
