Potters defender faces punishment over Upson clash
Stoke defender Robert Huth has been charged with violent conduct by the Football Association following his clash with West Ham centre-half Matthew Upson.
The Germany international appeared to swing an arm in the direction of Upson during the Potters' 2-1 victory on Saturday.
The incident, which occurred as the pair jostled for position at a free-kick, went unnoticed by referee Martin Atkinson.
However, after reviewing video footage of the game, the FA has decided that action should be taken.
Huth has until 6pm tomorrow to respond to the charge, which will be considered by a regulatory commission on Thursday.
