Gers welcome Dan Petrescu's side to Ibrox
Rangers will be looking to kick-start their UEFA Champions League campaign against Romanian minnows Unirea Urziceni at Ibrox.
Gers began their Group G campaign with a credible 1-1 draw at Stuttgart, but were thumped by the impressive Sevilla 4-1 last time to leave them bottom of the group.
Unirea only have one point to their name themselves and neither side can ill-afford to lose Tuesday night's game if they have real ambitions of reaching the first knockout round.
Rangers' 2-1 weekend win at St Johnstone saw them move ahead of Celtic in the SPL table while Unirea have travelled to Glasgow on the back of a 2-1 home defeat by Vaslui.
Gers news
Gers boss Walter Smith will be without French-born Algerian defender Madjid Bougherra after he twisted a knee during Monday's final training session at Murray Park.
Bougherra had been fresh and raring to go after missing Rangers' 2-1 weekend win after being left out of the squad by Smith for returning late following international duty after having his passport stolen.
Pedro Mendes should return to Rangers' starting line-up after being rested by Smith at the weekend with a thigh strain. He could replace Kevin Thomson in the middle of the park.
Kenny Miller is likely to be restored up front although it remains to be seen whether he partners either Kris Boyd or Kyle Lafferty up front, or leads the line on his own.
Kirk Broadfoot and Maurice Edu remain long-term injury victims for Rangers while a hamstring injury curtails Andrew Little's involvement.
Unirea news
Giedrius Arlauskis should retain his place in goal for Dan Petrescu's side after returning between the sticks against Vaslui at the weekend.
Marius Onofras opened the scoring in the defeat, however, he should revert to the bench in favour of Serban Dacian Varga, who was rested after international duty.
Romania internationals Iulian Apostol and Vasile Maftei were given the weekend off following the international break, but should start at Ibrox.
Dinu Todoran is unlikely to be risked after suffering a head injury against Vaslui, so Pablo Brandan could be given the nod after being his replacement.
Summer signings Daniel Munteanu and Laurentiu Marinescu are both unavailable after not being registered by Petrescu in their Champions League squad.
