McGhee to swoop for free agent defender
Aberdeen manager Mark McGhee has confirmed his interest in Maurice Ross and plans to hold contract talks with the defender.
The one-time Rangers stopper is currently a free agent after being released by Turkish club Kocaelispor at the end of last season.
The 28-year-old possesses a wealth of experience having played for Wolves, Millwall and Viking prior to his spell in Turkey.

Ross turned out for The Dons in a behind-closed-doors match on Tuesday and McGhee hopes to secure his services on a contract, although the exact length remains unknown.
"We haven't had the chance to sit down with Maurice yet because of the matches we have been playing, but we will get together on Wednesday," he confirmed.
"It could be an offer until Christmas, or perhaps to the end of the season. We will have to see what he wants."
