Matt Lockwood has switched to Dagenham on a month's loan from Colchester to plug the gap left by Scott Griffiths.
Left-back brought in as short-term replacement for Griffiths
Left-back Matt Lockwood has switched to Dagenham & Redbridge on a month's loan from Colchester.
The defender has been brought in to temporarily fill the gap caused by Scott Griffiths' loan switch to Peterborough last week.
Daggers boss John Still has been looking to find a replacement for Griffiths - who has moved to London Road until January at least - and sealed the signature of Lockwood on Friday.
The 33-year-old brings a wealth of experience to the League Two high-fliers, having previously played for Nottingham Forest, Bristol Rovers and Leyton Orient among others.
Delighted
Still told the club's
official website: "I'm delighted to have such an experienced player as Matt joining us on loan.
"Matt knows the game very well and has played at the level in the past. He knows and is friends with a number of our squad already.
"Matt is an ideal short term replacement for Scott Griffiths whilst we continue to find a permanent signing."
