New Juventus president Jean-Claude Blanc has backed coach Ciro Ferrara.
New Juventus president has faith in coach
New Juventus president Jean-Claude Blanc says coach Ciro Ferrara should not be concerned over his position.
Ferrara's side have won four of their last five games in all competitions in an indifferent season in Serie A.
They sit seven points off leaders Inter Milan having lost two and drawn three of their 11 games so far in Italy's top flight.
Although giving the Italian honcho his full backing, Blanc says the current gap between first and second place in the Serie A table is a concern.
Committed
Juventus' recent dip has led to discussions in the club's boardroom, but Blanc insists they were not about Ferrara's future.
"The discussion was not about Ferrera but just to say that the distance in terms of points after 11 matches is big," said Blanc.
"We're committed to working hard and Ciro knows that we all have faith in him.
"As the table shows it's a big gap but the championship is long. For a team with big ambitions it's important not to let them get too far away."
