Defender gets opportunity to impress
Hinckley United defender Stuart Giddings has been given the chance to try and earn a contract with Darlington.
Giddings, who joined Hinckley in September 2008 following his release from Coventry, is training with the League Two strugglers.
He will stay with the Quakers for a week in a bid to land a permanent deal and resurrect his league career.
"I wish Stuart all the best and it is an opportunity for him to get back into the full time game," said Hinckley manager Dean Thomas.
"He has been excellent with us and regained his fitness this season and we have all seen what he is capable of.
"As a footballer you are always looking to progress and this is a chance for him."
Giddings, 23, made 16 appearances for Coventry but the highly-promising youngster suffered a setback as he was hampered by a serious knee injury.
