England boss believes captain will be fit
England head coach Fabio Capello is hopeful John Terry will be fit to face Brazil this weekend.
There had earlier been fitness fears over his captain after he failed to speak to the media on Friday at the Ritz Carlton Hotel.
The Chelsea ace was instead replaced by Manchester City midfielder Gareth Barry, raising concerns over his fitness.
Terry was thought to be struggling with an ankle injury, however, Capello believes the experienced defender should be fit to play.
"He has hurt his ankle and we need to check him but I think he will be okay," explained Capello.
Capello's squad has already been decimated by injury with Frank Lampard the latest player to fly home after sustaining a thigh strain.
Rio Ferdinand, David Beckham, Steven Gerrard, Glen Johnson, Ashley Cole, Emile Heskey, Carlton Cole and David James are all out.
