Pools take on Os at Victoria Park

Hartlepool will be looking to maintain their fine form against struggling Leyton Orient at Victoria Park. Director of sport Chris Turner must decide whether to risk striker James Brown for the visit of The Os. Brown has missed Pools' last two matches after suffering a knee injury in the 1-0 win against Tranmere. He resumed training this week but may have to settle for a place on the bench. Turner said: "We have to be careful with him. I think he will be involved at some stage and we are looking at one or two other options." Midfielder Ritchie Jones (thigh) is pushing for a starting spot after overcoming injury and illness. He impressed for the reserves in their midweek defeat to Scunthorpe. Winger Leon McSweeney continues to struggle with a foot problem and will not be involved.
Os news
Leyton Orient welcome back Tamika Mkandawire and Adam Chambers to their squad for their lengthy trip up north. The pair have missed recent games with head and back injuries respectively, but have returned to training this week. Os boss Geraint Williams explained: "Adam has had a bit of soreness in his back which we're hoping settles down and we'll see how they both are for Saturday. "The injury list is looking very good at the moment, which we're delighted about. There are lots of people pushing for starts." Midfield duo Jimmy Smith and JJ Melligan sat out the midweek Johnstone's Paint Trophy penalty shoot-out defeat by Hereford through illness but are also available. Skipper Stephen Purches should regain his starting place at right-back after a rest in midweek.
