Villa youngster heads to Quakers on loan
Darlington boss Steve Staunton has brought in midfielder Jonathan Hogg on loan from Aston Villa.
Staunton has been busy in the transfer market as he looks to drag the Quakers away from the foot of the League Two table after just two wins from their opening 16 matches.
Hogg is the latest player to be recruited to the Darlington Arena and he will remain with the North East outfit until 2nd January.
The combative midfielder also has an eye for goal and was the top scorer for Villa's successful reserve side last season.
Martin O'Neill has allowed Hogg to join Darlington to gain more first-team experience with Staunton raiding one of his former clubs to land his latest reinforcement.
Hogg, who has now fully recovered from a serious knee injury which required treatment in the USA, will go straight into Darlo's squad for Saturday's tough trip to Chesterfield.
