Hibs aiming to keep the pressure on Old Firm

Hibernian face a difficult task to keep their outside title hopes alive as they travel to St Mirren in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League. Hibs are lurking just three points off league leaders Celtic and one behind Rangers with the Old Firm both being exposed to weaknesses this season. A win would keep the pressure on the Glasgow pair, but the hosts have European ambitions of their own and will be no push over at St Mirren Park. Saints defender Lee Mair returns from suspension for the clash. Striker Craig Dargo has recovered from the shoulder problem that saw him miss the last four games and Allan Johnston is over the groin injury that forced him out of the last two matches and both will be assessed before the game. Mo Camara, who has been sidelined since August, is back following knee surgery but nowhere near fit enough for the visit of the Easter Road side.

Hibs news

Hibernian hope Liam Miller and Merouane Zemmama will recover from injuries in time for Saturday's Clydesdale Bank Scottish Premier League game at St Mirren. Midfielders Miller (calf) and Zemmama (groin) were forced to miss crucial qualifying matches for the Republic of Ireland and Morocco, respectively, in the past week. Hibs boss John Hughes will assess the fitness of defender Sol Bamba and Anthony Stokes, who were on international duty in midweek, while Kevin McCann's troublesome hamstring problem is set to keep him out for another three weeks.
