Striker to explore other avenues

Kevin Kyle has ruled out a move to Russian side Spartak Nalchik, admitting he would miss Scotland too much. The 28-year-old striker is set to be out of contract at the end of the season, with his future at Rugby Park still up in the air. He travelled to Turkey recently to participate in a friendly for Spartak, offering him an opportunity to weigh up a potential switch to Eastern Europe. However, having spent a few days away from his native Scotland, Kyle admits he would find it too big a wrench to leave. "After spending a couple of days with the team I decided it wasn't for me. I don't think I would enjoy it," he said.

Uncomfortable

Kyle is thankful to Kilmarnock for giving him the chance to experience new things, but admits £100,000 a week would not be enough to tempt him away from Britain. "Kilmarnock have been very good in allowing me to go out and speak and they want me to go back out in the summer when I am out of contract. But I've decided its not for me," he said. "I have a family and a kid to look after and you have to look into everything but even if they offered me a hundred grand a week I would turn them down. "I did not feel comfortable and despite only being away for two days I just couldn't wait to get back to Scotland."
