Being a Championship Manager fan the opportunity to play the brand new 2011 iPhone app was not one to be missed. After installing the app with excitement I quickly started a new game and opted to take control of my favourite team Leeds United. Some people are just gluttons for punishment. The look and feel is a familiar one making it very easy to navigate around the menu screens. Even if you are new to the environment it is very easy to pick up and you'll soon be on your way to becoming the next Sir Alex Ferguson! One of your first tasks will be assessing your inherited squad and depending on your budget you might be able to make one or two changes. You can have a much or as little help as you need from your assistant when it comes to squad selection. When you're on the go and want to play as many games as possible this is the ideal function. Match play is very fun and enjoyable. You can see your players busting a gut for the cause and trying the lash the ball home from distance. The tactics screen makes things very quick and simple when it comes to making substitutions and adjusting your style of play. There is also a neat press conference segment where you are asked questions from select media personnel, people very close to my heart, about various aspects of your club. It becomes a juggling ask answering the questions and keeping the board, the fans and media all happy at once. Be wary of not upsetting the once people too many times! Signing players could not be easier. Once you've agreed a price with a club your chairman will take care of the nitty-gritty details before it is announced the player has joined your club. Be careful though! As I've realised once you've settled on a price you're not always guaranteed to land the player's signature. If you're someone constantly on the go or fancy yourself as the next Jose Mourinho there is one thing that is without a shadow of the doubt - this game is for you!
