Midfielder admits fitness struggles
Blackburn star David Dunn has played down fears he picked up a new injury in the weekend win over Wolves.
Dunn was forced off after 52 minutes of the 3-0 victory over Wolves as a precaution as he struggles with a leg problem.
The 30-year-old, who scored his first goal of the season against Wolves, admits he is restricted in the number of games he can play in a season as he has to manage his fitness following a number of niggling problems over the years.
"It was a little bit of a precaution," Dunn told the club's
official website. "We were 2-0, job done, so there was no point in risking things.
"I felt my leg the last couple of days, there was a little bit of pain on the left side.
"Unfortunately I am one of those players who is going to pick up little niggles.
"If I can play 20-25 games a season - of course I would like to play 38 Premier League games - hopefully I can do something different in them."
Dunn, who scored 10 goals last season, is hoping he can go on a run after opening his account against Wolves.
"Hopefully there are a few more to come. I would like to get to that target again," added Dunn.
