Cobra PUMA Cell Fusion

Over here we may still be locked in the chilly grip of winter, but the golfing season is already well under way in much sunnier climes. The onset of a new season brings with it a new range of apparel, and Puma have been quick to get their Cell Fusion footwear onto the shelves.
As a brand renowned for standing out from the crowd, it comes as no surprise to find that their latest offering is not your standard, run of the mill golf shoe.
The sample we were fortunate enough to get our sticky mitts on is from the vibrant orange range, and they certainly got their description right there. People will see you coming from a mile away in these shoes, such is the garish nature of the colour scheme, but they are a top of the range piece of footwear and are available in slightly less flamboyant colours should you wish to tone things down a bit.
Anything that is good enough for USA Ryder Cup star Rickie Fowler is good enough for us, though, especially as he is considered to be the exciting new upstart in golfing circles and we like to think we are down with the kids.
Enough about us though, why should you be spending your hard earned cash on some flash new Cell Fusions?
Well, let us start with the scientific bit. Puma's latest offering combines high quality waterproof full-grain leather and premium quality microfibre synthetic leather for a two-year waterproof guarantee. They also have grooves to enhance forefoot flex and forefoot and heel iCELL technology components which function within the midsole of the shoe's fabric, enhancing the cushioning and stabilizing value of the shoe.
More? Okay. How about intentionally-moulded Smart Quills as well as new replaceable Smart Quill spikes using Fast Twist directional locking technology by Pride.
Still not enough? Well don't just take our word for it. Puma describe the Cell Fusions as: "The best of the best. This shoe fuses our ultimate golf technologies together with a touch of style."
No arguments from us. We aren't in a position to boldly claim these shoes are 'the best of the best' but to our untrained eye they do exactly what they say on the tin. They might not have you playing like Fowler and co any time soon, but they will have you looking the part and are a must for all fashion-conscious amateurs out there.
