Team Teaser - Long-range leaders

Skysports.com's Team Teaser gives you the chance to help us fill in the missing blanks.

Welcome to skysports.com's Team Teaser. This is the game where you have the chance to help us fill in the missing blanks.

We provide you with a theme and you have to compile together a starting XI based on that theme. If you have an idea for a Team Teaser theme you would like running then drop me an e-mail at rachel.griffiths@bskyb.com with words 'team teaser' in the headline. Please e-mail with ideas only, not answers.

For example if the theme was 'cars' then an ideal winger would be 'David Bentley' and so on until the line-up is complete!

The theme this time is LONG-RANGE LEADERS!, i.e. players who have scored spectacular goals from long range. Thanks Ryan Parsons for suggesting the theme this week! As always, feel free to submit your ideas in the feedback box at the bottom of the page.

Starting us off in goal is Paul Robinson, who scored a wonder-strike from a remarkable 80 yards for Tottenham against Watford in 2007. Thanks Kieran White for that one.

Chelsea centre-half Alex is next in our line-up, having earned himself the nickname 'The Tank' while at PSV for his cannonball-like free-kicks. Cheers Ryan O'Donohoe for the suggestion.

At left-back Steve Loxam nominated Wigan ace Maynor Figueroa, who hammered home a sensational goal from his own half against Stoke in 2009.

And completing our defensive line-up is Fluminense star Juliano Belletti, famed for his long-range shots. Cheers Himesh Patel for putting him forward.

On the right wing we have Cristiano Ronaldo who has continued to dazzle with strikes from distance throughout his career. Thanks Jamie Smart for suggesting him first.

Xabi Alonso earns himself a spot in midfield, most notably for his 70-yard screamer against Newcastle while playing for Liverpool back in 2008. Credit goes to Ryan Whiting for bringing him to our attention.

Also in the middle of the park is Clarence Seedorf, who unleashed an unforgettable strike against Atletico Madrid when playing for fierce rivals Real Madrid back in 1997. Thanks Paul Kilgarriff for that one.

David Beckham gets a nod after his memorable goal from the halfway line for Manchester United against Wimbledon in 1996, while his 70-yard wonder-strike for LA Galaxy against Kansas City is also worth a mention. Cheers Paul Tither for suggesting him.

On the left wing is former Borussia Dortmund ace Lars Ricken, who came on as a substitute to score an unbelievable long-distance strike against Juventus in the 1997 Champions League final. Thanks Dave Carter for the nomination.

Up front Craig Jeff suggested former Leeds star Tony Yeboah, who was known for knocking in belters, most memorably against Liverpool in 1995.

Partnering the Ghanaian is Barcelona hitman David Villa, who hit home an astonishing long-range strike against Deportivo for Valencia back in 2006. Thanks again to Ryan Whiting for that one.
