Skysports.com's Team Teaser gives you the chance to help us fill in the missing blanks.
Welcome to skysports.com's Team Teaser. This is the game where you have the chance to help us fill in the missing blanks.
We provide you with a theme and you have to compile together a starting XI based on that theme. If you have an idea for a Team Teaser theme you would like running then drop me an e-mail at rachel.griffiths@bskyb.com with words 'team teaser' in the headline. Please e-mail with ideas only, not answers.
For example if the theme was 'cars' then an ideal winger would be 'David Bentley' and so on until the line-up is complete!
This week the theme is HARD MEN! ie. the toughest faces in football over the years. As always, feel free to submit your ideas in the feedback box at the bottom of the page.
Starting us off at left-back is former England defender Stuart 'Psycho' Pearce, known for his unforgiving style of play. Thanks Frazer Letham for that one.
In goal we have Harald Schumacher, most remembered for knocking Patrick Battison unconscious at the 1982 World Cup, while at right-back we have Carles Puyol of Barcelona. Cheers Craig Jeff for those two.
At the heart of our defence we have retired centre-half Neil 'Razor' Ruddock and Chelsea stopper John Terry, both renowned for their tough-man demeanours. Cheers to Alison Goy and Curtis Burt for the suggestions.
In midfield we have QPR new-boy Joey Barton, who is never far away from trouble on the pitch and has also served a prison sentence for assault off it. It was Chris Coates that brought him to our attention.
Former Manchester United ace Roy Keane also wins a spot in our line-up for his aggressive ways - and most memorably his revenge tackle on Alf-Inge Haaland. Thanks John Greenfield for the suggestion.
Manchester City man Nigel de Jong, known for his combative and feisty style of play, is another addition to our line-up. It was Alison Goy again that nominated him.
AC Milan's hard-tackling midfielder Gennaro Gattuso is also included, most notably for his clash with Tottenham coach Joe Jordan in last year's UEFA Champions League. Cheers for that one Ubby Maverick.
Up front we have former Scotland international Duncan 'Big Dunc' Ferguson, notorious for his 'hardman' image. It was Alan Parry that nominated him first.
Partnering Ferguson is Liverpool new-boy Craig Bellamy, known for his no-nonsense approach both on and off the pitch. Thanks Hardeep Marwaha for that one.
