Tony Pulis believes Manchester United 'couldn't handle Peter Crouch' at times during Saturday's 1-1 draw but feels there is still a lot more to come from the new Stoke striker.
Crouch, who moved to the Britannia Stadium from Tottenham on transfer deadline day, netted his first goal for the club to cancel out Nani's opener and seal a deserved point.
He became only the sixth player to have scored for six different Premier League clubs and Pulis was delighted with Crouch's all-round performance.
Pulis now feels that the 30-year-old can go from strength to strength as he continues to adjust to his new surroundings.
"We're delighted with the way Peter has settled in, but it takes time for a new player to build up a good understanding with his team-mates," Pulis told his club's
official website.

"You saw some really encouraging signs that it's coming in this game, but I am sure there is a lot more to come from Peter as he gets on the same wavelength with the players around him and they learn to how to get the best out of him."
Pulis added: "That's not been helped by the fact that we've not had a settled side. We have had to chop and change things around to keep players fresh with so many matches. But you saw today that United just couldn't handle him at times.
"Peter has tremendous technique; he holds the ball up so well and brings other people into the game. That was evident in this game.
"That's why we have paid decent money to bring him here. It's fantastic that he has got off the mark, but I know that we can get more out of him."
