Leeds skipper hopes to take club up

Leeds United captain Jonny Howson admits he yearns to be playing at the top-level. The 23-year-old is currently in talks with the Elland Road outfit over a new long-term deal. But as yet nothing has been agreed and his current deal expires in the summer and as Howson turns 24 in May - he could leave the club for nothing at the end of the season. "It's not just about being a local boy, any professional's ambition is to play at the top level," Howson, who is currently sidelined with a knee injury, told the People. "I am no different and my ambition is to get Leeds United in the Premier League. That is not just my aim, it is that of the management, the backroom staff and all the players."
