It's been a fabulous year of sport... and, as usual, a fabulous year here on Soccer AM. The crew will end 2012 with loads of memories - both from taking part in the best show on Saturday morning telly and from watching an incredible year of sporting action. There are plenty of highlights still to come with the Soccer AM Xmas Special hitting your screens at 9am on Christmas Day But what are their highlights of the year so far? Here's what some of the gang had to say...

BEST SOCCER AM MOMENT OF 2012
Personally, performing in Rock of Ages and playing Whitesnake to the audience at the end. But that pales in comparison to Trev winning his final Dance Off. It's 15 seconds I could watch again and again and again. BEST SPORTING MOMENT OF 2012
The final day of the Ryder Cup. It's so rare that I genuinely shout at the television (apart from at Louis Walsh) but it was just unbelievable.

I enjoyed doing I'm An A-League Celebrity... with Noel Gallagher, we set him up with a 'roll with it' gag and when we asked how was your soup? He replied, 'lovely thanks!' The man's a genius! BEST SPORTING MOMENT OF 2012
Mo Farah in the Olympics! Like many others I started screaming at the telly. Go on MO! Go on MO! Get in there my son! I'll never forget that look on his face when he crossed the line. Amazing stuff!

There have been so many great moments for myself and the team in 2012, but I'd say having the rock and roll legend Noel Gallagher back on the show. He is one of my heroes (he's no Gianfranco Zola, though) and one of the funniest people I have ever met! BEST SPORTING MOMENT OF 2012
The mighty Chelsea winning the Champions League against the odds! It wasn't pretty but we are, until May... champions of Europe!

My Soccer AM moment of the year was meeting and interviewing the legend that is Paul Gascoigne for a regular feature that ran throughout last season called "Gazza's Stories". Spending a whole day with one of my sporting heroes (and in my opinion the greatest ever England player) listening to some incredible stories about his playing days and the famous pranks he used to play, truly was an honour! My favourite sporting moment of the year was being in the Olympic Park to witness Mo Farah win his second gold at the London Olympics. It was an incredible achievement from an incredible athlete that epitomised the great Olympic buzz that was going around the country at the time. I'll never forget the sight of tens of thousands of British fans doing the Mo-bot to celebrate! Fair play Mo!

It feels like ages and ages ago now but seeing Trev's face when he won the Dance Off in January. He's never looked so mortified / happy / 'please god no' / 'does this mean I HAVE to come back next year' in all his life. Priceless. BEST SPORTING MOMENT OF 2012
I would say the Champions League final but that was the same night as our end-of-season party and I have to say I don't remember the game one bit. So it has to be the end of the Premier League season. I watched the Manchester City game in a pub in Shepherd's Bush surrounded by QPR fans. They had the United game on at the same time. Even they cheered when Sergio Aguero scored that goal - Martin Tyler's legendary commentary will go down in history. Unreal.

One of my favourite shows this year was the show with Richard Kiel (Jaws), Robbie Fowler & Example. I don't think Richard really knew what was going on but they all had such different backgrounds yet seemed to get on well. Who knew they'd all have decent Scooby Doo impressions, too? The best sporting event I've seen this year is the Froch v Bute fight in Nottingham. Everyone was on their feet from the first round until knockout. The atmosphere was incredible from both the home crowd and the section of Bute supporters. It was a great night!

Jessica Ennis winning her gold medal was great to witness; a wonderful achievement. Also Sergio Aguero's goal for Man City to win the league - a fantastic end to a season.

My favourite Soccer AM moment of 2012 was our trip to watch our beloved GENK in Belgium. It was a great trip which included playing 5-a-side on the Euro Star and singing football songs with all the GENK Supporters (note... this was actually late in 2011, but we'll forgive you...) My favourite sporting moment of 2012 has to be watching the final day of the season in a small bar in Palma. It had the Arsenal game, Manchester United game and Manchester City game all on. Watching that unfold was truly amazing and the last-minute Aguero goal was just incredible.

It has to be £1 Fish Man's appearance on Hairy Strikers,though to be fair throughout the show he was brilliant and virtually brought the house down. He also told me he's in secret talks about his next smash hit single, working title... £2 Fish BEST SPORTING MOMENT OF 2012
Being a Gooner it's hard to think of a football-related best moment, although having said that the Premier League finale 2011/12 was amazing drama AGUERRRRRROOOOOOO!!!! And of course it's hard to look past the London Olympics, I can't pick out one moment in particular but the whole event gave everyone a much needed lift. On that evidence, they should host the Olympics here every single time - I don't care if it's fair or not.

Michael Rooker taking down Tubes was brilliant recently but on a personal note getting Shaun Goater on finally, instead of Barry from Eastenders was definitely a highlight... and he hit my backside in "Take One For The Team" on the show which was a fitting end to an absolute nightmare guest booking situation.
