QPR boss Chris Ramsey left frustrated after two penalty appeals waved away

QPR head coach Chris Ramsey was left frustrated his side didn’t get the decisions their play deserved in the 2-1 home defeat against Tottenham
Ramsey saw his side have two strong penalty appeals waved away by referee Craig Pawson as two goals from Harry Kane dragged QPR further into trouble.
Pawson was unmoved in the first half when Mauricio Isla went down after being caught by Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris before the Loftus Road crowd were up in arms when Charlie Austin's goal bound shot was blocked by Nabil Bentaleb's hand inside the area with just eight minutes to go.
Ramsey had sympathy for the referee on the first call but thought the handball by Bentaleb should have been given.
“I’m not sure if the referee had a clear view of the first one - it was there for everyone to see that we should have had a penalty but you can’t dwell on that because the incident is gone and you have to move on," he said.
“When you get the ball in the box, where the damage is done, and you don’t get what you need. Then you end up losing the game, it’s very frustrating.”
It was a case of history repeating itself for QPR, who lost 2-1 to Arsenal in similar fashion on Wednesday night.
Ramsey's men created plenty of chances, including when Austin hit the crossbar in the first-half, and the head coach thinks they can still get out of trouble despite being three points from safety.
“The last two games have been against two very good teams and we’ve been in the game," he said.
"Had we scored first or capitalised on our chances, I think we might have nicked two points out of the last two games. Tottenham will know they’ve been in a game and be surprised that we’re in the position that we are.”
