The experienced striker converted a 75th-minute penalty, sending goalkeeper Frank Fielding the wrong way, after Lee Hughes had been tripped in the box by Jason Crowe. Oldham finished the game with 10-men after Hughes was dismissed in stoppage time for a second bookable offence.
