Notts County defender Richard Duffy is a major injury doubt for the visit of MK Dons.

The 33-year-old came off during Saturday's 3-0 defeat to Crewe due to a groin problem. Goalkeeper Ryan Schofield is back after serving a one-game ban and will immediately return to the starting line-up after Alex Palmer was drafted in on an emergency loan from West Brom.

Number-two goalkeeper Ross Fitzsimons also missed the defeat at Crewe with an abscess in his tooth and may still be out.

MK Dons manager Paul Tisdale will be without Alex Gilbey, Mitch Hancox and Jordan Moore-Taylor after all three underwent surgery. Hancox is out for the season after having surgery on his hamstring and is joined on the injury list by Gilbey, who has undergone an ankle operation.

Moore-Taylor went into hospital on Monday and will be sidelined for some time after undergoing an operation. Joe Walsh is in hospital to undergo a fourth operation on his arm, Baily Cargill is back in training after having a protective boot removed but Mathieu Baudry is yet to return to the training ground.
