Notts County remain rooted to the foot of the table as Nicky Law struck in added time to give 10-man Exeter a hard-fought victory at Meadow Lane.
The relegation-threatened Magpies failed to capitalise on Ryan Bowman's first-half dismissal and Law hit the winner in the 93rd minute for the play-off-chasing Grecians.
County created plenty of first-half chances, as Kane Hemmings got behind Exeter inside two minutes but found Christy Pym's outstretched leg.
A slick break after 20 minutes saw Hemmings feed in Craig Mackail-Smith who played a neat one-two with Matt Tootle but the veteran slipped before pulling the trigger.
Exeter's Bowman saw a second yellow after a heavy late challenge on Michael Doyle, having been booked for an earlier aerial duel with Richard Duffy.
Law's cross before the half-hour mark caused concern in the Magpies area, while Mackail-Smith curled over at the other end.
Pym's fingertip save denied Tootle's thundering effort after the break, later parrying Jim O'Brien's long-range shot away.
And as the spoils looked like being shared, substitute Donovan Wilson looped in a cross which Law connected with for the winner.
