Substitute Abobaker Eisa raced through to score a stoppage-time leveller as Scunthorpe drew 2-2 at Plymouth in League Two.
Argyle central defender Will Aimson scored twice as the hosts recovered from falling behind, but Eisa kept his cool to earn the visitors a point.
Scunthorpe took a seventh-minute lead when striker Alex Gilliead turned in Junior Brown's near-post cross, beating goalkeeper Alex Palmer from the tightest of angles.
Argyle equalised 11 minutes later when Aimson fired home from close range after Rory Watson failed to hold Ryan Taylor's goal-bound header.
United striker Kevin Van Veen should have put the visitors ahead in the second half but his chip over Palmer drifted wide of the goal.
Argyle responded with wing-back Callum McFadzean forcing a superb stop from Watson.
The hosts continued to press with on-loan Rangers striker Zak Rudden introduced for Taylor as Greens boss Ryan Lowe urged his side forward.
And the hosts went ahead in the 76th-minute after skipper Gary Sawyer met McFadzean's deep cross at the far post and headed across goal for Aimson to score.
But the Iron were not to be denied as Eisa, an 87th-minute substitute, bagged his first goal for the club three minutes into added time.
