Goals from Fernandes Michel Bastos and Franck Beira put the visitors in command before Vitorino Hilton struck a late consolation for Jean-Pierre Papin's men.
Bastos broke the deadlock in the 16th minute when he met Stephen Lichtsteiner's inch-perfect cross at full-stretch to beat Vedran Runje in the Lens goal.
Beira doubled the lead for Claude Puel's men in the 84th minute, and despite Hilton's almost instant response, Lille held on to move up to 11th as Lens remain two points above the relegation zone.
