Highlights of the EFL Cup match between Rochdale and Chesterfield.

Rochdale scored three second-half goals to cancel out Chesterfield's half-time lead and secure a 3-1 first-round EFL Cup victory at the Crown Oil Arena.

Paul McGinn gave the visitors a 30th-minute lead, but Ian Henderson and Andy Cannon both struck shortly after the break before substitute Nathaniel Mendez-Laing confirmed Dale's progress.

Chesterfield almost took a third-minute lead, when Ian Evatt headed a Jay O'Shea free-kick too close to Dale goalkeeper Josh Lillis, but got their reward on the half-hour in stunning style.

Chesterfield should have been ahead as early as the third minute when Ian Evatt escaped marker Calvin Andrew to meet Jay O'Shea's free-kick, the defender guiding a downward header goalwards but too close to goalkeeper Josh Lillis.

O'Shea clever play teed up an onrushing McGinn who took a touch before unleashing a wonderful strike from 25 yards into the top corner of Lillis' net.

Dale were on level terms within two minutes of the restart, Henderson making the most of a free header as he guided Cannon's free-kick wide of Fulton. Dale were ahead in the 53rd minute when McDermott's stab towards goal was turned into the net by Cannon at close range.
