      Wales Under-21s booked their place in the European Championship play-offs with a brilliant 3-0 win in Romania. Brian Flynn's outfit took top spot in Group 10 after comfortably dispatching of the Romanians, who they lost to last month. The young Welshmen got off to the perfect start when Middlesbrough defender Rhys Williams put them ahead just 12 minutes in. Second-half strikes from Simon Church and Rhoys Wiggins sealed the historic victory. It is the first time since the 1958 World Cup that any Welsh side has gone beyond the qualifying stages of a major tournament. The win means Wales top their group - automatically sealing one of the 14 play-off places. France gained the runners-up spot after they beat Bosnia, edging out the Romanians.
