Raffaele De Vita scored the only goal of the game as Ross County beat Dunfermline 1-0 in their Scottish Cup fourth-round replay

Ross County advanced in the Scottish Cup after they beat Dunfermline 1-0 at the Global Energy Stadium in their fourth-round replay.

The sides drew 2-2 in Saturday's opening encounter and the game in Dingwall proved to be equally close-fought, with a 70th-minute goal from substitute Raffaele De Vita enough to see County through.

Jim McIntyre's side will now face either Linlithgow Rose or Forfar at home in the next round.

Dunfermline could have won a cagey affair when Faissal El Bakhtaoui wasted an excellent chance as he drilled his shot straight at Stags' goalkeeper Scott Fox.

The visitors were duly punished in the next attack, with Italian De Vita on hand to volley home after Athletic failed to clear their lines.
