McCall's men overcome Yorkshire rivals

Bradford claimed their fifth away win of the season with a 2-0 victory over Yorkshire rivals Rotherham to maintain their League Two promotion hopes. Rotherham began the match as the more positive of the two sides and almost scored straight from kick-off when Jamie Green's cross was met by the head of Drewe Broughton inside the box which forced Bradford goalkeeper Rhys Evans to palm the ball to safety. Millers striker Ryan Taylor was then guilty of missing a good chance when he lifted a close-range shot over the bar after a scramble in the six-yard box from a Peter Holmes corner. The Bantams started to grow in confidence and Luke O'Brien gave a warning of things to come when he lashed an ambitious strike at goal from distance which forced goalkeeper David Stockdale to make a smart save. Bradford's shoot-on-sight policy proved successful and O'Brien eventually broke the deadlock in the 71st minute when he smashed a low shot past Stockdale and into the bottom-right corner of the net from 25-yards out. Five minutes later Nicky Law effectively sealed the points for Stuart McCall's side with an equally spectacular strike which he curled into the corner of the net from just outside the penalty area.
