Rotherham eradicated their 17-point deficit as they scored four second-half goals to come from a goal down to beat managerless Grimsby 4-1.
The Millers were slapped with a pre-season punishment of being deducted 17 points by the Football League after going into administration, but Mark Robins men are now back in the black after a series of impressive results.
Danny Boshell fired the visitors ahead after 29 minutes when he capitalised on a poor clearance, but Rotherham regrouped and struck back through Reuben Reid just four minutes after the restart.
Eight minutes later the hosts went ahead when Mark Hudson converted from the edge of the area, before Micky Cummins and Richie Barker completed the rout in the 69th and 79th minute respectively.
