Forest Green's fading play-off bid suffered another huge blow with a 1-0 defeat at mid-table Scunthorpe.
John McAtee bagged the only goal of the game to secure the Iron just their second league win in nine outings.
Rovers are frustratingly now nine points off the play-off pace after their eighth game without a win.
Both sides had chances in the first half but neither keeper was tested.
But the Iron took the lead immediately after the restart.
McAtee fired into the bottom corner in the 46th minute to complete the double over Mark Cooper's stuttering side.
The forward could have doubled his tally but was well kept out by Lewis Thomas.
Match-winner McAtee was once again frustrated by Thomas after beating James Perch.
Centre-back Farrend Rawson squandered a great chance for a late leveller when he headed over from close range.
Scunthorpe had to defend for their lives at the death to secure the points.
