Sevilla scored four times in the final 25 minutes to record a morale-boosting 5-1 win over Andalusian rivals Granada at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.

Sevilla, who had taken just one point from their previous three league games, went ahead through Carlos Bacca's 24th-minute strike but Granada were level by the break thanks to Youssef El Arabi's penalty.

That is the way the game stayed until the 66th minute, when Sevilla got their noses back in front through Ever Banega and then further goals from Bacca, Stephane Mbia and Kevin Gameiro completed a one-sided scoreline.

It was the ideal way for Sevilla to get back on track following their own 5-1 defeat at the hands of Barcelona last weekend and Thursday's Europa League loss at Feyenoord, and the three points keep Unai Emery's men in the thick of the early battle for a top-four finish.

Sevilla always looked to be holding the upper hand and they had already gone close through Banega, Mbia and Gerard Deulofeu before Bacca opened the scoring with a scrappy goal after Granada failed to clear a high ball into the box.

Despite that early dominance, though, Sevilla found themselves level at the break after conceding an equaliser just before the interval.

A handball from Mbia inside the box earned Granada their spot-kick and El Arabi made no mistake from 12 yards as the visitors - without a win since September and without a goal in 394 minutes - stunned their hosts.

Sevilla took a while to get going again after that setback, and it was not until the second-half introduction of Jose Antonio Reyes that the game turned back in their favour.

The former Real Madrid and Arsenal winger was sent on in the 62nd minute for Deulofeu, and within four minutes of his arrival he helped Sevilla reclaim their lead.

Reyes did well to create space for a cross and pick out Banega at the far post, and although Banega saw his acrobatic volley come back off the crossbar he got up and managed to slot home the rebound after the Granada defence were once again unable to clear.

Reyes also set up Sevilla's third goal as his cross from the right fell perfectly for Bacca, who controlled it on his thigh before lashing home a half-volley from close range.

Bacca was replaced soon after by Gameiro, and it proved another tactical masterstroke by Emery as the France international set up Sevilla's fourth for Mbia - the Cameroon midfielder heading home in the 89th minute - before notching the fifth himself.

On that occasion it was Machin Vitolo who did the hard work, with his pinpoint cross just evading visiting goalkeeper Roberto Fernandez to allow the unmarked Gameiro the simplest of tasks to head into a gaping net.
