Sevilla host Steaua Bucharest on Tuesday evening, and Juande Ramos will be aware that his side must win their home games if they are to progress to the next round of the UEFA Champions League. It has been a testing few months for the double Uefa Cup winners; however they breathed life into their season after a 2-0 win over Levante at the weekend. In Europe, Sevilla opened their Champions League account with an unconvincing display against Arsenal, but the 4-2 win over Slavia Prague did much to reignite their hopes of qualification. Steaua, meanwhile, have begun their European campaign poorly and are yet to record a point in Group H.

Ramos has been boosted by the return to fitness of the influential Frederic Kanoute, but is without Russian striker Alexander Kerzhakov. The Spanish side also have defensive pair Julien Escude and Javi Navarro unavailable for the encounter. For Steaua, coach Massimo Pedrazzini has full-back Pawel Golanski and defensive midfielder Florin Lovin out through injury.
