    Bury shake up promotion race

Bury stormed back into League Two's automatic promotion places with a stunning 3-0 win at fellow high-flyers Shrewsbury.

Ryan Lowe booked his place in Bury's record books as he struck in the 53rd minute to become the first every Shakers player to score in eight successive Football League matches. The visitors took the lead after 21 minutes when a low cross from David Worrall was clinically finished by Andy Bishop. Lowe doubled the advantage when he glanced home a header from a Steven Schumacher corner for his 23rd goal of the season. And Schumacher then completed a fine night for Alan Knill's side with an unstoppable 25-yard free-kick 10 minutes from time. Shrewsbury had their chances with Jon Taylor striking the crossbar, Nicky Wroe hitting a post, Matt Harrold firing a header over from four yards and James Collins wasting some decent opportunities.
