Millers snatch late point

Rotherham remain unbeaten in League Two since October after scoring twice late on to earn a 3-3 draw at Stockport.

At 3-1 down with five minutes remaining, Stockport defender Matthew Grieve headed into his own goal to give the Millers hope, then as the game entered stoppage-time Ryan Taylor glanced in a header to snatch a point. After a cagey opening the match burst into life just after the half-hour mark thanks to two goals inside a minute. Stockport went in front when Ishmel Demontagnac crashed home superbly after latching onto a measured through-ball from skipper Paul Turnbull. The hosts had only just stopped celebrating when Adam le Fondre teed up another former Stockport man - Kevin Ellison - and he slid home an excellent angled shot. Six minutes later Stockport were awarded a penalty as Le Fondre handled Robbie Williams' free-kick, but Andy Warrington saved Anthony Elding's disappointing spot-kick attempt. The hosts dominated early in the second half and we rewarded in the 50th minute when loan midfielder Stephen Husband volleyed home his first senior goal spectacularly from 20 yards. The Blackpool man then made it 3-1 after 68 minutes as he drove past Warrington after latching onto Elding's pass.
