Scunthorpe lose six-goal thriller

Nine-man Scunthorpe threw away a two-goal lead as they succumbed to a 4-2 defeat at Swindon. The Iron took a two-goal lead into the break following goals from Gary Hooper and on-loan Henri Lansbury. But Swindon hit back through Michael Timlin, Hal Robson-Kanu, Lee Peacock - added to an own goal from Andrew Wright - to pick up a deserved three points. Scunthorpe opened the scoring through Hooper's close-range finish before the striker turned provider to set up Lansbury to net from six yards. But the game turned on its head when Cliff Byrne and David Mirfin recieved red cards before the hour mark to give Swindon more chance to pour forward. Timlin hit a left-footed volley past Joe Murphy before Wright's own goal levelled the scores. Robson-Kanu fired home from 12 yards following substitute Anthony McNamee's clever dribble before McNamee set up Peacock to convert the fourth late on.
